Beautiful Quote...

Making the decision to have a child - it's momentous. It is to decide forever to have your heart go walking around outside your body.~ Elizabeth Stone

I'm getting a little teary-eye'd as I type it because I have to go on a work trip again and I'm already dreading it . I'm gone Monday-late Thursday. BOOO HOOO!!!
That's 4 mornings I won't get to wake up to my sleep-eye'd, snuggly little babies. And 4 nights that Blake will have to tackle the 3-ring circus bedtime routine by himself.
I'm sure just as sad as I am about leaving, Blake is feeling it too. Even though these two are great babies nd great nappers/nighttime sleepers......caring for them is A LOT for 1 person to do.

So, I thought this quote was beautiful. And I'm sad knowing my body will be in California next week but my heart will be home in Minnesota!

7 Month Recap

7 months....such fun! You two are getting so strong, so vocal and so smart! Honestly....I don't think we could be more fascinated by each of you.
Hudson
Besides getting teeth (which your sister did before you) you seem to pave a way for your little sister. You started saying "Dadadada" and just a day or two later, little Harper was babbling away "dadadadada".
You're a picky eater. You will try anything, but if you don't like it....forget it. The mouth locks me out and I can't sneak another bite in. You do like certain veggies, almost all fruits besides banana baby food ( you LOVE real bananas) and you love finger foods. We've given you blueberries, bananas, mango, puffs and cheerios to eat with your hands.
You are very coordinated, passing teeny bites of food or BIG toys from hand to hand, you're very coordinated.
You're still in size 3 dipes, though probably ready to bump up a size.
You're eating 4 bottles a day, 7-8oz a bottle.
Your'e taking 2 naps a day at 9am and 2pm.
The cutest thing you've started to do lately is put your arms out to the side, twist your hands and SQEEEEL with delight. It's like you're so excited you're busting at the seams.
You sit great, you've started leaning foward/to the side onto your hands and can hold the crawling position on all 4's for a while, but don't get the "movement" that happens next.
You reach up to me when I go to pick you up.
You put both hands on either side of my face and come in with your mouth wide open for a big hug/kiss.
You're an absolute joy, my baby boy! So strong, so happy, so FULL of life, so ready to explore and play and see new things. You're so happy- it's impossible to not smile ear to ear when around you.
Harper
You talk or make sounds all the time. Hmmm, awwing, dadadada, bubbles, clicking your tongue....you're very vocal.
You are hysterical lately when feeding you and giving you a bath. You're so happy at these two times, you literally just laugh at nothing because your'e so happy.
You LOVE the dogs. You reach your tiny hands out at them and when they approach you or go to lick your hand, you giggle.
You love to eat. You're showing less interest in the bottle but will eat ANYTHING I give you on a spoon. Anything!
I wouldn't, no couldn't, say you have a favorite because it seems all food is your favorite.
Your'e wearing size 3 dipes, and 6-9 month clothes. Pettite hands, feet and body....big cheeks! :-)
You eat your 3 meals and have about 4 bottles which vary from 4-7oz
You love tags! On clothing, toys, blankets, burpclothes, or bibs. You will find a tag, grab it and play/chew on it.
You take 3 naps a day usually at 9, 12 and 3
You've been going down for naps and talking/singing to yourself for a good 15 minutes before you drift off to sleep.
You are a great sitter, but would prefer to stand. When I put you on the floor to sit, you literally do not bend sometimes. I have questions as to whether you'll crawl or if you'll just begin walking when ready?
You're such a blessing, Harper. You love to be near us, held and looking around at new things, people, places, etc as long as you have that familiar sense. While Hudson is very independant, you like to see us when you play. We don't have to be right there, but we have to be visible. You're so happy, loving, snuggly, and beautiful baby girl. I love hearing you laugh, making you laugh and hearing your sing.
I can't wait to see what 8 months has in store......will we have a crawler...or two?
